Meet Your Physical Therapist

Dr. Jenna Calo DPT, OCS, MTC
Owner, Physical Therapist
Jenna began Art of Motion Physical Therapy LLC in order to provide individualized one on one care that focuses on manual therapy and exercise to the Loudoun County area of Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University where she truly began her appreciation for movement and the human body. Jenna attended a manual therapy focused program where she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego, CA and is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. While attending PT School, she had a strong desire to learn how to work with dancers to recover and best manage injuries so they can get back to doing what they love safely and efficiently. She has completed continuing education coursework for pelvic floor physical therapy from Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and through the Academy of Pelvic Health through APTA.
She began her career at Body Dynamics Inc. now located in Falls Church VA, where she had the wonderful opportunity of working with dancers and performers from Suzanne Farrell Ballet, The Washington Ballet/The Washington School of Ballet, Arena Stage, Shakespeare Theatre, and Ford's Theatre. She currently enjoys working with performing artists of all levels from recreational through professional and all styles and genres of dance. Jenna enjoys teaching specialty graduate level coursework in performing arts medicine at Shenandoah University.

Since becoming a mother, she appreciates the challenges for any parent to effectively provide self care. She is committed and enthusiastic about working with ALL people to help them live a life full of healthy movement and exercise.
